End of Mom's First Week Without Dad!

James and I are so happy it's Friday! The week was trying to start, but we really have come a long way together over the course of the last five days. I can't believe how much better I am feeling about determining James's wants and needs and being able to fulfill them! Everyday I feel a little more adept at being this little guy's mom. Having said all that, I am thrilled it is Friday and Dad will be with us all weekend. I miss him so much while he's at work.

Wednesday, my folks came down for the day and brought me a delicious home-cooked lunch (taquitos!), gave me some much needed rest, and James heard Grandpa read him his very first story.  Yesterday, Klaus, James and I had our first long walk (over an hour!), thanks to the magical pacifier. I felt so proud to be out on the bike path, Klaus in one hand and the stroller in the other! It felt surreal after walking by all the mommies for so many years. In the evening, James enjoyed some lovin' in the arms of Grandma and Grandpa Barelmann, as well as some admiration from Aunt Olivia and James.
