Today we are celebrating James's eleventh and twelfth day on the planet. To start, Mom and Dad are especially thankful that we are beginning to get the hang of things, or at least we think we are making progress. Some highlights: James has finally started to appreciate wake time as something to do aside from fuss. We found a Baby Bjorn seat that allows him to sit up rather than lie down or look at things from Mom or Dad's shoulder. He loved the view! In fact it was so relaxing that he has since given us reason to wash it 3 times. We also pulled the Baby Bjorn carrier from Aunt Olivia out of the garage, it was a major breakthrough. James made his first visit to Swamis (a 45 minute walk) without a single cry. I think he was led to believe he was back in the womb.
So, Mom and Dad are getting more sleep which is a great relief for Dad who doesn't handle sleep deprivation nearly as well as Mom.
A final note: for those new parents that have purchased a Diaper Genie, make sure and change it out before it gets full or your picture, too, may show up as the Catch of the Day!
